OK, so what is Roku? Roku is simply a device which allows us to watch Free and paid video content on our TV via the Internet, TV and Mobile services like Amazon, YouTube are loaded just like Apps are loaded on our Smartphones. It is the easiest way to Stream videos on your television.

When was it Invented?

It came out in 2008. The only invented app back then was Netflix. Roku is a 6-inch square device for Television to watch movies and TV shows. New Roku players are broken into three tiers. All the Roku devices are currently available on Amazon. Roku Ultra is the top tier Roku Device. The Roku also offers a UFC channel with live and archived fights.

How does it work?

Roku plugs into your TV using HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cable which is connected from your TV to the Roku device. Roku is then connected to the TV using a wireless or a wired connection. Roku works by downloading videos from your internet and then you can watch on your TV.

Roku TV Technical Requirements

With WiFi and the HD playback, the Roku Player is probably the easiest way to stream movies and TV shows directly to your Television. All we need is a high-speed internet connection. Internet connection must at least be 1.5Mbps, but if you’re a big fan of live sports events or high definition movies, it should be at least 3 or around 5 Mbps.
